Have you seen these amazingly functional and stylish AAC necklaces from Lisa Street, over at Speech Street?
Lisa graciously offered to send me one of her jewelry pieces to try out. She offers both necklaces and bracelets in her TpT store. I don’t wear bracelets very often, so I decided to go with the necklace option.
These are a great system to have on hand whenever you might need basic communication symbols throughout your school day, especially in the hallway, on the playground, or other unstructured time/space. The symbols are double-sided, offering eight different visuals on four charms.
These would make a great gift for a fellow SLP, special education teacher, or social worker! I can even see recommending something like this as a backup system for a parent to have at home or in the community.
